Weapons Tomorrow

  1. This was interesting. It is great for law enforcement officers. With all the killings of police officers, it great to be able to knock out their door. What happens though when the "fail safe" mechanism fails. I don't think they can guarantee that it will never fail. It hasn't yet, but aren't cars supposed to "fail safe" from things like engine fires when they are sold. Yet there are recalls on them, years later. This is great when used for the right purpose, unfortunately, it will get in the hands of the wrong people.

I liked this video better because it gave more information about the product.

  2. I have mixed emotions about this technology. One side of me likes the safety features of the weapon and the protection it provides for both the user and hostage. On the flip side, is seems that we place more R & D into weaponry and warfare, than in helping preserve human life. What a shame. Perhaps we will one day be able to look back…if we give ourselves the chance.

  3. Thats great.. I think this would be really good for hostage situations.. but like Debbie said it could really get into the wrong hands and be very dangerous.

  4. The video was really helpful in explaining this thing, though I don't think we need anymore weapons in this world. Doesn't that just encourage violence?

  5. Anything that can give law enforcement the upper hand over the bad guys is a plus as far as I'm concerned. The only questions is are the officers going to be allowed to use their training in order to subdue the criminal without fear of retribution from the so called justice system?

  6. That is a great tool for the military and law enforcement alike. The ability to fire off a reasonably "safe" explosive device to keep all those that are innocent out of harms way, as well as breaching a door and keeping your team safe is a great step forward in the world of weaponry.

  7. As awesome and devastating weapons technology has become, so has the red tape and bureaucracy surround these projects to get off of the concept stage.
